Moving Mommy Monday

New discovery this week: WORKOUT EARLY😏

It’s been a challenge to stick to the training schedule I made and I think I’ve figured out why. I MUST exercise in the morning. After work I’m tired and need to get dinner going and prepare for the following day, so squeezing in a workout, whether it’s Pilates in my living room or a run in the park, after work is almost impossible.

Last week I decided to stick with the morning workouts. Now it’s still a challenge to rrrooolll out of bed a 5am but it’s been working. Of course my 10 month old son wants to nurse as soon as my alarm clock goes off so I had to make an adjustment and set my clock for 15mins before the desired ‘time to rise’ time. AND it’s so much easier when I’ve laid out my cloths, both workout and work clothes, the night before. It just helps me get in the zone.

Now it’s just a matter of getting to bed earlier so I can make it through the day without needing a nap. Let’s see what this week’s discovery will be. What do you do to get your workouts in?

Making moves as a mommy… It’s a work in progress😉

I totally agree with you – mornings are the part of the day where I have the most control over my time. But more importantly it sets the tone for the entire day – fresh air, pores open and stretching the limits of my body positions me to stretch my mind as the day unfolds. I agree totally – mornings are it…

Right now I’m doing a 3 week yoga boot-camp that runs from 6-7:30 am and it’s glorious. I look forward to doing a walk/run in the mornings after this ends in mid July. Cheers!
